Welcome, this is home page of Scott McIntosh at the High Altitude Observatory (HAO) of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). I am the head of the “Solar Transients and (Origins of) Space Weather” (STSW) research section. I have also been involved in the CSAC and COSMO projects. My research focuses largely on establishing and understanding the physical connectivity between the Sun’s cool surface and its considerably hotter outer atmosphere.
